6th Birthday party at Kidszone

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Since today is a public holiday, my mum decided to hold my birthday party today at KidsZone in Hartamas Shopping Center. We knew about this place since we see it every weekend as it’s in front of my Yamaha music school.

Two weeks ago, my mum and I wrote down a list of my friends and cousins to be invited. Then, we went to book the place for my birthday party. We got the invitation card from Kidszone and I wrote my friends name on the invitation cards. My mum called my cousins to join my birthday party. The next day, I brought them to school and passed it to my friends.

Yesterday, we went shopping at tesco to buy stuff for goodie bags for the my friends and cousins. At home, my mum and I packed the goodie bags and got them ready for my friends.

Today, all my 15 friends and cousins came to KidsZone together with their parents. My grandparents came from Malacca for my birthday party. We had lots of fun running around playing games. There were all type of games and obstacles which we can play with. We ran and ran until we sweated so much.

Choosing a primary school

Monday, September 15th, 2008

My parents have registered me to Puay Chai (II) in Bandar Utama since last year. Luckily, I am accepted to this school. My dad was so happy. In fact, he told me that he has decided to send me to this school even before I was born.

Lately, my mum decide that we should also explore other options like government national school or even the private schools. She wanted to know more about what these schools can offer compared to a chinese school.

We went visiting these schools like Sri Nobel and Beaconhouse. Both are nice and interesting to me but my dad is not keen. As of now, they are still discussing about it and asked me about my preference. I like Mandarin but not too much. My dad thinks I can master Mandarin once I am in Puay Chai since I have learned a bit of Mandarin in my montessori school and Skylace.

I am waiting for them to make up their mind. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to my birthday party this Wednesday at Kidzone in Plaza Mont Kiara.

Three birthdays and a music class

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

I am going to attend three birthday parties today!!! That’s will be after my usual Yamaha music class in the morning. That’s what my dad told me. I hope he doesn’t trick me into believing there will be three birthday parties today. Anyway, we will be going for these parties without mum who is awa in Seattle attending company meeting.

First, I have to promise to be attentive during the Yamaha music lesson and second, must finish my lunch before he brings me to the parties.

The first two parties are meant for my grand-aunt and her granddaughter, who is my second cousin, Danielle. They have a join birthday celebration at their house. We went there after lunch and I enjoyed myself playing with my cousins there. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any birthday cakes because the real celebration was in the evening. We had to leave early to go to the next birthday celebration.

The third birthday was for my aunt who takes care of me everyday. We had a family dinner for her with birthday cake. This time I could sing ‘Happy Birthday’ song for her.

By the time, the parties were over, I was exhausted and I went to bed earlier than usual. The next day, my mum will be back from Seattle and we will go to KLIA to fetch her.

Happy Birthday, Uncle Ho

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

Today, my daddy told me that we were going for a birthday party. It’s a birthday party for his school teacher. So, he came back from work early. We went back home and got ready. Then, he drove us to his teacher’s house which was nearby.

Mr Ho's birthday party

The teacher’s wife invited us for a small party in their house and thought we didn’t know that it was his birthday. But, my daddy knew about it. He remembered his teacher’s birthday.

I met so many friends at the party and we played among ourselves. Later, we sang the birthday song for my daddy’s school teacher.

There was so much to eat. There was sausages, nuggets, fried chicken, friend noodle, cakes and drinks. My mummy fed me with so much food so that I have enough energy to lay with my friends.

Mooncake festival

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

My parents invited many relatives and cousins to come to our house this evening to celebrate my birthday and also, to celebrate the mooncake festival. I looked forward to going out bringing my horse lantern in the neighbourhood.

In the evening, so many friends came to my house. They brought presents for me too. I was so happy. After we had our dinner, all the children including their parents went out for a walk around the neighbourhood carrying our lanterns. It was so fun to play with lanterns. Luckily no lanterns were burned this year.

After we returned from walking around the neighbourhood, I got to open my presents. Everyone gave me something pink which is my favorite color. I have pink dolls, pink towels, pink comb, pink blankets, etc, etc.

I was so happy and I thanked everyone again for the wonderful gifts.

Birthday party in School

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Today, I woke up early as I was very excited about my birthday party in school. I woke up my mum and dad who were still sleeping. They told me its still early and asked me to go back to sleep.

Finally, the alarm rang and everyone woke up. I woke up on my own. My dad did not have to wake me up today. After we got ready, they send me to school. They told me they will come back at 10 AM and brought my birthday cake and party bags during break time.

When I walked out from my class during break time, I saw my mum and dad were already waiting for me with the cake, sausages, French fries and party bags.

My teacher brought all my classmates to the party corner and my parents helped to place the things they brought on the table. My mum helped to place the candles on the cake and lit the candles. All my friends sang ‘Happy Birthday’ song to me. I cut the cake and dad took some pictures.

My mum and teacher helped to distribute the cakes to my friends and we ate together. After that, we went back to the class. Teacher told us to collect the party bags after the class is over. So, I only gave the party bags to my friends before the go back home.

My mum will arrange the toys and balloons in a roll. My dad will open the party bag. I will take the toys and balloons and put them in the bag.

In all, we prepared 20 party bags for me to bring to school tomorrow.

A hectic day and cousin’s birthday party

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Yesterday was really a hectic day for me and my parents. Saturday is usually a hectic day but yesterday was extremely hectic. Usually, I have ballet and music class on Saturday. Yesterday, my mum and dad has started their badminton session with friends from 3 - 5 PM. This is going to be a weekly affair.

I joined the badminton session and enjoyed watching my mum playing badminton. She was so good. My mum and dad tried to teach me to play badminton. I have my own little rackets that my mum bought for me.

Not only that, we had to attend my cousin’s, Johan, birthday party in the evening. His actual birthday was on September 11. My parents bought a jelly cake for him in the shape of a red Ferrari. It looked so nice.

When we left home at 6PM, I was already so exhausted. I told my mum I wanted to sleep. She told me to take a short nap on the way to Johan’s house. In less than a minute, I fell asleep.

I only woke up the next day at 7AM.

My parents told me I was so tired that I slept through the birthday party and did not want to wake up to join the fun.

Parents in school again

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Today, my mum and dad dropped me at school and went to see my principal. Luckily this time was not complain about my test or anything academic. It was to find out about class party. They wanted to know what can they bring for the class party to celebrate my birthday in class.

This Montessori school is strict in what the students can eat. They only allowed cakes, french fries, nuggets and party bags without sweets. Definitely no ice cream or soft drinks.

Preparing for Birthday

Monday, September 10th, 2007

This whole week is rather the usual week except that my parents have started discussing with me about my coming birthday. I am going to be 5 years old on Sept 23. They asked what sort of cake I would like to have for my birthday. As usual, I told them it’s Disney Princess or Barbie.

My mum is the excited one. My dad is so cool. She has started to inquire about the cake and called up bakeries.

Finally they decided on a butter cake with Barbie and a jelly cake.
